Atmosphere
ZHU
After-dark tension and controlled heat.
The experiment
HEATSOAK is a dark electronic musical experiment run by Trevin Hermosillo and opened to anyone drawn to the same pressure: heat, machines, long roads, heavy bass, and human contact after dark.
Trevin Hermosillo
Trevin drives a lot. Cannonball runs, races, long-distance missions, and ordinary miles have put years of listening time behind the wheel. The driver's seat became a private room for hearing what survives fatigue, repetition, speed, darkness, and the long gap between one place and the next.
Born and raised in northwest Montana, Hermosillo learned to work with tools in his father's garage before spending a decade in the railroad industry. He later co-founded the experimental R&D company SWAE, helping turn ambitious automotive ideas into one-off machines and road-tested stories. In 2023, Maxim followed him and a small team on a 2,767-mile Porsche expedition from Montana to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska.
That history does not sit beside HEATSOAK; it runs through it. Mechanical rhythm becomes percussion. Red instruments, wet pavement, engine heat, distance, and the strange intimacy of a night drive become the visual and emotional vocabulary.
HEATSOAK is what happens when the garage, the road, and the headphones become one room.

Signals in the mix
Hermosillo cites ZHU, Chet Faker, deadmau5, Billie Eilish, and more as inspiration. Their work can make restraint, space, scale, and closeness feel as important as the notes themselves.
Atmosphere
After-dark tension and controlled heat.
Space
Human grain inside electronic restraint.
Scale
Long-form propulsion and engineered release.
Intimacy
Close detail that can still fill a room.
Human direction
Every HEATSOAK track is written, directed, sequenced, and art directed by Trevin Hermosillo. The performances are AI. That production fact is stated directly rather than hidden.
The experiment is not about removing the person. It is about directing new tools with taste, memory, intent, and a coherent point of view, then inviting listeners to share the result and shape their own route through it.
