Let It Ring

Warm, mid tempo and deliberately unhurried. A record about the call you decide not to answer, arranged so the groove never breaks to acknowledge it.

About the track

Most HEATSOAK records are about wanting something badly. Let It Ring is about the opposite move, the small refusal that protects an evening. The phone is in the frame the whole time and the song never turns to look at it.

The arrangement stays low and round rather than bright, closer to a room than a club, with the vocal sitting near the mic and the low end carrying the pulse instead of the drums.

Let It Ring is a standalone single and is not part of Ritual Static. Written, directed, sequenced and released by Trevin Hermosillo. Vocals and instrumentation are AI performed under his direction, which is declared in the release metadata. More on that in About.
