Ritual Static

The second HEATSOAK album. Eleven tracks and fifty minutes that treat a sound system like an altar, where signal, static, feedback and the low end each carry two meanings at once.

About the album

Ritual Static combines corrupted ceremony, sexuality, bass, frequency and analog interference. Its recurring language, signal, static, feedback, resonance, compression, gain, distortion, pulse, low end and vibration, is sound engineering vocabulary and physical vocabulary at the same time, and the album never picks one.

It is sequenced as a single arc rather than a collection. Processional opens the ritual with a corrupted sermon, False Prophet accelerates into a direct club record, Seven Devils, One Face delivers the drum and bass surge, Burn the Offering destroys the former self, and Listen Lower ends in fading sub bass and silence.

Second HEATSOAK album, following Thermal Overload. Written, directed, sequenced and art directed by Trevin Hermosillo. Vocals and instrumentation are AI performed under his direction, declared in the release metadata. More on that in About.
